Как появился трехмерный принтер

Предвестник трехмерной печати появился в начале 80-х, когда доктор Хидео Кодама разработал систему быстрого прототипирования с помощью фотополимера — жидкого вещества на основе акрила. Технология печати была похожа на современную: принтер печатал объект по модели, послойно. Это стало важным шагом в развитии 3D-печати.

Первый 3D-принтинг был создан Чарльзом Халлом в 1984 году. В то время компьютеры были не так мощны, как сегодня, и еще не имели таких функций, как Windows-95. Халл изобрел стереолитографию — предшественницу 3D-печати. Это открытие стало революционным в мире разработчиков.

Сtereолитография работала следующим образом: под воздействием ультрафиолетового лазера материал застывал и превращался в пластиковое изделие. Форму печатали по цифровым объектам, и это стало бумом среди разработчиков — теперь можно было создавать прототипы с меньшими издержками. Это открыло новые возможности для создания прототипов и изделий с помощью 3D-печати.
